Anna Mulingbayan

Anna Mulingbayan is APNIC’s Senior Internet Resource Analyst and Liaison Officer for the South East Asia region. Since 2001, Anna has played a key role in evaluating and analyzing network plans from members and the community.

Anna represents APNIC’s Resource Services department at internal and external meetings, both regionally and globally. She also performs occasional work with the training team to conduct training within the Asia Pacific region.

Anna also undertakes liaison work, using her knowledge of South East Asia to network with existing members, seek liaison opportunities with potential members, and actively participate at Liaison events within this region.

Eric Leung

Eric LeungEric Leung is the lead Presales Technical Consultant for Asia Pac at Tinet, the only global carrier committed to the IP and Ethernet wholesale market, providing IP Transit and Ethernet connectivity to Carriers, Service and Content Providers worldwide. With over 10 years of experience in the Telecommunications/Internet industry, he has worked in key functions ranging from Operations, Network Engineering to Solution Management with leading service providers. Based in Hong Kong, Eric has been active in addressing the global IP and Ethernet services needs for the Enterprise, SME and Wholesale markets.

Fadi Cotran

Fadi Cotran, PhD, is the Director of Technical Business Development for AEP Networks (a wholly owned subsidiary of Ultra Electronics).

Dr. Cotran has worked very closely with ICANN (The Internet Corporation for the Assignment of Names and Numbers) to secure the thirteen (13) root domains worldwide. In addition, he has worked with VeriSign and Symantec to secure the key domains in the .com, .net and .edu TLD’s (Top Level Domains). Dr. Cotran has presented on DNSSEC worldwide, including Asia, Australia, and EMEA. Most recently Dr. Cotran was instrumental at implementing DNSSEC at Cira.CA (Canadian Internet Registry Authority .CA) to secure the vast implementation of .CA in Canada.

Dr. Cotran has over 25 years’ experience in the high technology industry in Silicon Valley, and has previously served as VP of Systems Engineering at Sonicwall, and Director of Worldwide Systems Engineering at Sun Microsystems. Dr. Cotran holds a Ph.D in Engineering from the University of Illinois and a Master’s degree in Engineering from the University of Michigan.

Hideo Ishii

ishiiHideo Ishii is Vice President, Product Strategy and Management, IP and Cloud Services at Pacnet.

Mr. Ishii previously served as CEO, Pacnet Japan and prior to that, was the Regional Director of IP Engineering, where he had overall responsibility for the planning, engineering and deployment of Pacnet’s IP and MPLS networks globally. Mr Ishii joined Asia Global Crossing in 2000, and has since built one of the region’s leading MPLS-based network infrastructure, as the company transitioned to Asia Netcom and later, Pacnet.

A recognized telecommunications industry leader in Japan, Mr. Ishii has served on the technical committee of MPLS Japan Technical Conference in Japan since 2001. He also served as co-chair of the Asia-Pacific
Network Operators Forum (APOPS) under the Asia Pacific Network Information Center (APNIC), and is also a founder member of the Japan Network Operator’s Group (JANOG) in 1997.

Mark Tinka

Mark TinkaMark has been in the Internet industry since 1999, having helped build various Internet Exchange Points (IXP’s) in Uganda, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana and Malawi. He was also instrumental in shaping the technological advancements and construction of the service networks of Africa Online, a Pan-African Internet Service Provider with eight operations on the continent, when he worked there.

In addition to the APRICOT, Mark is also an instructor with the AfNOG (Africa Network Operators’ Group), an annual event held every year in an African country that pools industry peers together to share knowledge and advances in Internet communications.

Mark is now based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where he is Chief Network Architect of Global Transit Communications and TIME dotCom, a leading regional IP Transit provider and the leading national fibre-based backbone telecommunications provider, respectively.

Mark is a huge proponent of IPv6 and helped start Zimbabwe’s first commercial IPv6 network (Africa Online Zimbabwe), and has done the same with the organizations he represents in Malaysia.

MD. Jahangir Hossain

He is well known person in Bangladesh as a Routing and switching expert and working as an ICT consultant and presenter for local and international.

He is the formal fellow and instructor of South Asian Network Operator Group (SANOG), volunteer Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), Virtual Integration working Group and Core member Internet Society Bangladesh Dhaka Chapter. He has 6 years of experience in Routing, Switching, Systems management and working as a Head of System and solution in Open Communication Limited.

He is very much expert on implementing IPv4 & IPv6 Routing & Switching protocol (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VLAN, HSRP, VRRP, GLBP, Frame Relay, ATM),Carrier Ethernet, VPN technology (IPSec, GRE, EoIP, L2VPN, L3VPN, MPLS VPN),Intruder detections systems (IDS) & Preventions systems (IPS), AAA, VoIP Gateway, Gatekeeper, IP Telephony, Quality of Service (QoS) , Active Directory, Traffic engineering, WCCP , Firewalls and TCP/IP based service ( Proxy, PPTP, FTP, Web, SMTP, MRTG & Mail)

Professor Sureswaran Ramadass

Professor Sureswaran RamadassProf Sureswaran is involved in the Global IPv6 Forum and is currently part of the IPv6 Forum Education Certification Program. He is also the Malaysian IPv6 Forum Chairman. He was also the first Chairman of the Research Steering Committee for MYREN (Malaysian Research and Education Network) and is currently the IPv6 Domain Head for MYREN.

He was the Chairman of the Asia Pacific IPv6 Task Force (APV6TF) and was involved in promoting IPv6 within the region and globally. He is currently a Primary Member of APAN (Asia Pacific Advanced Networks) as well as the Head of APAN Malaysia. He also holds the position as Technology Area Director of APAN, managing over 6 technical WGs under that area. Recently, he was also elected as a Board Member for APAN Limited.

On of his key achievements is being awarded The “Anugerah Tokoh Negara” (National Academic Leader) for Innovation and Commercialization in 2008

Raja Mohan Marappan

Raja Mohan Marappan joined MyIX in 2010, when MyIX Association decided to engage a full time staff to manage the operations of the exchange. He also responsible for maintaining the network, capacity planning and implementing network projects for the growth of exchange. He holds a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from University Sains Malaysia.

Zamzuri Zainuddin

Zamzuri ZainuddinZamzuri Zainuddin has been involved in the IP Networking with 15 years of professional ISP experience. Graduated from U of Michigan in Computer Science, he now holds a Senior Manager position (Corporate Access, Technical Operations) with JARING Communications Sdn Bhd, a premier ISP in Malaysia. He is well versed in the IP routing/traffic, MPLS, Telecommunications and other operational topics involving Service Providers.
